Last day of the summer

Well that's it for the summer lavender followers, today is the last day the fields are open and we'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone - to the many groups who came on the guided tours and had to listen to us talk, to the endless visitors that at times flooded the barn and calmly waited on their teas and coffees...(and even scissors when we were really full); those of you who followed us on this blog (even though our updates haven't been as frequent as we would have liked); photographers like Rachel Warne and Ian Wood who have taken breathtaking shots - and to all of you who uploaded your images of Hitchin Lavender to sites such as Flickr and Facebook; journalists Victoria Moore and Tim Wheeler who we really can't thank enough for such fantastic coverage, and lastly a very special thank you to the small band who worked relentlessly alongside us through the heat waves of June (remember them), the downpours of July and to the many bee stings of August, Cheers to Ron, Steve and Tony!
To anyone and everyone we haven't thanked - Thank You!

See you all again next year, at a farmer's market near you, here on the web and for a few weeks when we open the shop in December
