Thanks for the season!!!!!

Hitchin Lavender is now closed for 2010! (but not to worry you can still buy our products online)
We would like to send you all our warmest of thanks for all of your support and for help making the season such a success! Thank you!!!!!!We'll be putting in all our efforts to make next year an even better one.

We also want to mention the amazing amount of money that was donated by you all to help people whose lives are affected by Motor nuerone Disease. Hitchin Lavender is very proud to say its visitors raised more than £650. We are extremely grateful - please check out this website if you want to help this cause. www.mndassociation.org

We also wanted to say a special thank you to James and Dave who worked so hard from start to finish and were great guys to hang around with - we wish you both the very best for the future. We know that Dave has expressed a desire to work on other farms (he comes very highly recommended by us, so if anyone has a farm and is looking for someone...) and that James has joined British Basketball League's Leicester Riders - (he's the tall one in the photo by the way..) - Good luck to the both of you and we'll be you watching James! http://www.leicesterriders.co.uk/?warwick-adds-to-riders-roster,306

Cheers guys.

2 Weeks to go

On beautiful sunny days like this we really should be open! Although quite glad we're not as we still have the odd one or two things left to do... but by the Saturday 5th of June Hitchin Lavender shall be ready and open for the 2010 season.

This summer we have more lavenders to buy, more food available, more products to choose from and more time to come and see us. Open until Sunday the 15th September there is plenty of opportunity to come and witness the miles of rows of lavender we grow and this year for the first time we have also planted several acres of sunflowers alongside the lavender.

Hitchin Lavender is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am until 5pm and don't forget we encourage people to go into the the lavender fields and pick plenty of lavender themselves - and all for the small price of £3 per adult or £2 per child!

Hope to see you v soon!!

Hertfordshire Pure Weddings

A belated Happy New Year to everyone and I hope you're all keeping warm. Despite the cold weather we've been busy preparing for the 2010 season and are in the process of making improvements to our facilities. We've also been hand planting new varieties of lavender, back breaking but hopefully you'll appreciate the results! We've also had good success with the cuttings we took last year and most of them have coped well with the frost - so far.

Alex and Wid's wedding that we hosted in June features in this months edition of Hertfordshire Pure Weddings. It takes you through their day step by step and is a great place to look if you fancy a wedding that's a little bit different. Not many venues can offer a field of lavender as your reception backdrop, just drop us a line at the usual place if you want to talk through how you can hire the lavender fields as your venue for your special day.
